How do I change?

Thursday, April 20, 2006

If I feel depressed I will sing.

If I feel sad I will laugh.

If I feel ill I will double my labour.

If I feel fear I will plunge ahead.

If I feel inferior I will wear new garments.

If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice.

If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come.

If I feel incompetent I will think of past success.

If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals.

Today I will be the master of my emotions.

-Og Mandino

I hope.

food fest!

Thursday, April 13, 2006

#1 - went over to Nona's place to study and for dinner on Tuesday! Her mum is so nice, she cooked such a sumptuous dinner for us - everything was so delicious to the point that I don't know which dish to concentrate on. You know like how when during a meal, there will be one particular dish that you like the most and therefore will just concentrate eating from that dish?! (Hmm.. or am I the only one who behave this way?) Everything was so good! Yummy~ And it made me missed my mom's cooking. Mummy~~~~ *cries* Anyway, ignoring the crying baby within me, Thank you Nona for inviting us over for dinner and study! Oh, how could I forget, the strange, but very interesting Sponge Bob movie!!! :>

#2 - we had our korokke's party today! Heh, and since we would be cooking, we threw in a few other dishes as well and had a food feast. Wad, I had been having a number of cooking/food feasts this semester, although they were all very delightful and enjoyable, I think, if I don't do anything like EXERCISING, people in Singapore will see a chubby Li on her next trip back. Yadaa~!

Oh back to the topic, we had korrokes, of course - So sorry, by taking out the peas and meat, it was kinda plain in the end but nevermind, we can always try again next round! Next time, we make sure we throw in more stuffs! The Bak Ku Teh was alright, just not enough pork ribs so the flavour was not really there and next time I will remember to poke the garlic. Heh.. Salad was good! Finally, our desert - Grass jelly (or glass jelly?) with longans, sounds so yummy isn't it? But I could never look at them the same way again. *sobs* Lolz. Debbie said they looked like eyeballs (being white and grass jelly black) and you know what, after looking at them seriously and from another perspective, they really did. *sweats* The next time when anyone is going to introduce longans to those who have not seen/eaten them before, tell them - It's a traditional chinese desert, made with cleaned and chilled eyeballs of different animals. Lolz. In any end, instead of having a "Easter party", we had a Halloween party, starting from the moment Debbie commented "Hey they looked like eyeballs." and completed with taking 'strange' photos and drawing morbid pictures on the whiteboard.

The food!

Starting from below, salad, bak ku teh, korroke and oh yah koropok! (^^,)

It's not too clear but you get the idea. >:-)

p.s: Sorry flatties, I hope ya'll are not too worried when you came back and saw the drawings. Lolz~

Happy 27th Birthday, Tsuyoshi!

Monday, April 10, 2006

Oooh, 27 years. That's old. Imagine, just another 3 years to 30 years. Where did all the time fly to? It was only yesterday when I first watch Kindaichi on TV during Pri6. [O_o Oh my goodness! That was 10 years ago!] From the young and michieveous boy then to the (err..) cranky and eccentric Ojisan today, Tsuyoshi has definitely gone through alot over the years. Ooh, and all the adventurous tries at his image - especially the thin eyebrows *wiggle my eyebrows* Onegai~ NEVER! Never have that style again! It's hideous! Lolz. Oh well, before I go into details about the thin eyebrows and how he looked with it, it's time to say:

"お誕生日おめでとう~!!!”

(Happy Birthday!!!)

***********************************

Went for dinner with Ellie at Debbie's place today and we had her speciality - Hotpot! (A whip of miso paste, a little kimchi paste, tomatoes etc) and the beef (from Tiffany?) was so tasty as well - nicely marinated and tender. Yummy~~ Heh, not only the meal is good, it was educational as well. I learnt then pad thai noodles has such a good absorption rate that it can be as good as sponges! *roll eyes* Within minutes of putting it in, the pot of soup almost instantly becomes a pot of mushy noodles. @_@ Luckily they'd cooked a second round of soup. So pple, never, never use pad thai noodles for soup noodles! Go try others on the shelves! Hah!

Thanks Debbie, for inviting us over! Oooh, Ouran high school host club is good deshoo?

happy incidents are in harvest today!

Friday, April 07, 2006

#1 - went out with Ja-ne for dinner at Hungry Jacks just now and as usual, we ended up eating too much again. Argh, we never learnt our lessons. Always we go somewhere to eat with a large craving and a very empty stomach, so image the blissfulness we felt when the food is right in front of us but, unfortunately, our happiness don't last very long. It didn't take too long to finish our food and realize, we ate too much. Argh, I disliked the feeling of being too stuffed! (Serves me right from being such a glutton!) I think if anyone is to give me a little shake up and down right now, I'll be more than happy to puke mmy food out. Heh, this has a sading ending, kinda, but it's still began with a happy motivation in the first place! ^_^ Oh oh, I might get the ICE AGE 2 toy that comes with their kids' meal, they're so cute! Either Sid or the squirrel/rat creature will be good!

#2 - the due date for my counselling assignment has been post-phoned to a week later! Yesh~! (No girl, this do not mean you can start playing now. >_<")

#3 - Muahahaha, I don't how to describe the incident in words, but I had heard that Mr. Chi-ko-pel aka I-think-I'm-so-great got biang-ed (someone tell me the proper English word for this, pretty please?) by Tom during Japanese class. Yoohoo~ Way to go, Tom! I'm going to give you a good handshake, mentally of course, the next time I see you! Wahaha, the best thing is, everyone in the class knows what Tom really meant, except him! Alright~ Thanks Deb, for telling me this VERY-GOOD gossip! ^o^

#4 - I got Kanjani8's F.T.O album~!! Thanks Deb again for helping me download! Yay, finally I get to listen to it! But, it was kinda disappointing on the first round of listening. Except for the few songs:- F.T.O, Kanashii Koi, Misete Kure, [Hateki no Sora -just okay] and the old songs from Sukiyanen, Osaka single, the other new songs weren't as good. Hmm.. perhaps they'll get better as you listen more to it? But hey, Osaka Romanseque (Track 03) is nice~~~~!!! I already fell in love with it when they sang it during their concert, and now, I fell deeper in love with it all over again! The album version is sooo good! Ooh, listen through your earphones if you are going to listen to this song, the effects are best then.

--------

Oh, I got tagged by Debbie days/weeks ago to .... what? *go refer to her journal* oh, "name five of life's simple pleasures that you like most". Okay,

  1. Doing nothing
  2. Sitting around, crapping with friends
  3. Practicing selective hearing
  4. Watching animes and dramas! (I want more Korean dramas!)
  5. Periods of "having a screw loose" ;)

No. 1 and 4 go hand in hand very well together!

photoshop yarh!

Look people! New layout!
So darn proud of myself! Good job! *pat pat* Well, this layout is not the prettiest out there, but considering this is my first photoshopped layout, I'm still going to call it my baby anyway!

Although I have Photoshop on my laptop since last year, I didn't appreciate it until 2 weeks ago. Heh, before that, I was still telling Debbie, "Yadaa~ Paint is still easier to use!" Well, it is, but you don't get to do SOO many thingy to a picture (Muahahahha~) when compared to Photoshop!

Hail to the Holy PSP! Nam-no~~~~ *chant*

p.s: Ooh, the swollen i-think-it-is-insect-bite bump on my leg is peeeeling, the remaining flaky skin is fluttering and flying in the wind like, like.... hmm... ah! the thingy on the takoyaki ball.

Lolz~~ I know, I shouldn't compare it to that. I'm sorry people, I admit I did that on purpose. I just can't resist it.

p.s.s: Hrmph. You know what, I thought tomorrow (or rather it's today now) is the 10th so I happily, excitedly put up the new layout but it's only after publishing then I realized, it's only the 7th! (-_-)" Oh well.
