#1 - went over to Nona's place to study and for dinner on Tuesday! Her mum is so nice, she cooked such a sumptuous dinner for us - everything was so delicious to the point that I don't know which dish to concentrate on. You know like how when during a meal, there will be one particular dish that you like the most and therefore will just concentrate eating from that dish?! (Hmm.. or am I the only one who behave this way?) Everything was so good! Yummy~ And it made me missed my mom's cooking. Mummy~~~~ *cries* Anyway, ignoring the crying baby within me, Thank you Nona for inviting us over for dinner and study! Oh, how could I forget, the strange, but very interesting Sponge Bob movie!!! :>
#2 - we had our korokke's party today! Heh, and since we would be cooking, we threw in a few other dishes as well and had a food feast. Wad, I had been having a number of cooking/food feasts this semester, although they were all very delightful and enjoyable, I think, if I don't do anything like EXERCISING, people in Singapore will see a chubby Li on her next trip back. Yadaa~!
Oh back to the topic, we had korrokes, of course - So sorry, by taking out the peas and meat, it was kinda plain in the end but nevermind, we can always try again next round! Next time, we make sure we throw in more stuffs! The Bak Ku Teh was alright, just not enough pork ribs so the flavour was not really there and next time I will remember to poke the garlic. Heh.. Salad was good! Finally, our desert - Grass jelly (or glass jelly?) with longans, sounds so yummy isn't it? But I could never look at them the same way again. *sobs* Lolz. Debbie said they looked like eyeballs (being white and grass jelly black) and you know what, after looking at them seriously and from another perspective, they really did. *sweats* The next time when anyone is going to introduce longans to those who have not seen/eaten them before, tell them - It's a traditional chinese desert, made with cleaned and chilled eyeballs of different animals. Lolz. In any end, instead of having a "Easter party", we had a Halloween party, starting from the moment Debbie commented "Hey they looked like eyeballs." and completed with taking 'strange' photos and drawing morbid pictures on the whiteboard.
The food!
Starting from below, salad, bak ku teh, korroke and oh yah koropok! (^^,)
It's not too clear but you get the idea. >:-)
p.s: Sorry flatties, I hope ya'll are not too worried when you came back and saw the drawings. Lolz~
