Argh. I think I really need to get hearing aids when I'm back in Singapore.

I received a phonecall from a school this morning.

"Hello, is this Su Li?"

"Yes, I am."

"Hi, I'm ---glibberish----- about your developmental study ---glibberish---- study---- gender difference?"

*glibberish marked the parts of the conversation where I can't hear, can't understand, can't hear clearly.

"Oh, gender difference? No, gender difference is not important in my study."

"---glibberish--- gender difference?"

"oh yes, my study is focusing on the ways individuals interact with other people across different age groups, so it is expected that there will be gender differences but it's not the main focus of my study."

.awkward silence.

"Thank you. *Laughed*"

"Thank you."

CLICK.

---end of phonecall---

Argghhh!!!! Sometimes, I'm REALLY amazed at myself, how I could hold a conversation when 70% of the time I don't know what the other party is talking about. This brought to mind a story title that Ellie once said that she would write, "A MONOLOGUE BETWEEN TWO". How Perfect, with a captial P. *rolled eyes*
